Sometimes, you just need to quickly grab some free Wi-Fi while you're walking through town. You probably know that nearby coffee shops offer Wi-Fi, but tons of retailers and restaurants offer it too—you just need to know where to look.
With that in mind, we've decided to compile a list of all the different chains that offer free Wi-Fi. If you're interested in speed, McDonald's is the most consistent of the bunch, but Best Buy isn't far behind. Nearly all of these just require you to agree to a terms of service, but you won't need a password. We'll keep updating this list as we find more options, so be sure keep an eye on it (and if you know of any we missed, let us know in the comments below).
